  • The Anzac Centenary
    (2014 – 2018) will shine a spotlight on the commitment and sacrifice of those who served in the First World War.

    Across Victoria, there will be a number of commemorative events marking key dates throughout the Centenary.

    Here you will find all that you need to know to be involved.

invites residents to attend the local community
ANZAC Day Dawn Service on Tuesday, 25th April, 2017
Assemble: 5:45am for 6am sharp
The Shrine
SURREY GARDENS
88-90 Union Rd. SURREY HILLS Vic.
The community service will feature:

 A Bugler playing ‘The Last Post’ & ‘Reveille’
 School children reading stories about WW1
Veterans who were local residents of Surrey Hills
 A relative of a WW1 Veteran reading ‘The Ode’
 A reading of the poem: ‘In Flanders Fields’
 Australian Defence Force members will tend flag duties
 Community members in attendance will be invited to lay wreaths at the Cenotaph
At the conclusion of the commemoration, Tea and coffee will be served.
